During renovations of this 2nd floor waterside room, an envelope addressed just “Miss Minnie Moore, Mays Landing, NJ” with a 2 cent stamp still attached, was found behind this room’s fireplace mantle. The letter inside was dated February 15, 1893 and sent from her brother, William Moore Jr. who was away at Swarthmore College. For nearly a century this letter was wedged safely behind the mantle awaiting rediscovery. The letter is now framed and hanging on the wall next to where it was found for all to read.

This room features an original gas logged fireplace, central air conditioning, water views, queen size brass and painted iron bed, large private bath with tub/shower and deluxe amenities, wall mounted flat screen TV, Wi-Fi plus secured hard wired high speed internet access and phone.

This room can also accommodate our crib set up (additional fee) for travelers with young children and has adjoining double locking doors connecting this room to our Wheaton room for families traveling together.
